Begin in the Swedish capital, revel in the lively atmosphere of Stockholm and its charming Gamla Stan Old Town. Head to the West Coast of Sweden and visit emblematic Gothenburg. Travel to Denmark and uncover the magic of the renaissance architecture in Elsinore and enchanting Copenhagen.
Day 1: Canada - Night on board
Ready to discover the spectacular cities and landscapes of Southern Scandinavia? Arrive at your departure airport to catch a flight to Stockholm.* Night on board.
* Important: If your outbound flight leaves at dawn (before 04:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the selected departure day.
Day 2: Stockholm
Arrival in Stockholm the capital of Sweden and the biggest of the country. It’s an archipelago composed by 14 islands that are connected by around 50 bridges in the Märlaren lake. It’s a very cosmopolitan city as you will find an Scandinavian modern architecture with metal and bronze buildings or fairy tails towers and a very charm old city centre. Self-transfer* to the hotel and overnight in Stockholm.

Day 3: Stockholm
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a panoramic tour of Stockholm. Begin discovering the old town or ‘Gamla Stan’ island, with its intricate network of small squares and cobbled alleys. See the exterior of the majestic Royal Palace, the medieval Cathedral and Parliament buildings. Next visit City Hall, the jewel of the capital, with the golden room and the blue room, where the Nobel Prize gala dinner is held. After this introduction to the city, enjoy the rest of the day free to continue exploring at your own leisure. Overnight stay in Stockholm.
Day 4: Stockholm - Uppsala - Karlstad
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast head to Uppsala, one of the most important historical sites in Sweden. Today enjoy a panoramic tour of Uppsala where you will visit the Cathedral and emblematic University. The city was once the seat of the Kingdom of Sweden, its history dates back to the Viking Age. Its typical Nordic architecture is another of its main attractions. In the afternoon and after leisure time for lunch, enjoy a panoramic walking tour in Karlstad. Visit picturesque wooden houses that are more than three centuries old and are still standing. Next, admire the river and visit the statue dedicated to Duke Karl. Continue along the river and come across one of the symbols of the city, the statue of Eva Lisa Holtz. Finally visit Stora Torget, the main square, which brings together the city, including the majestic cathedral. Overnight stay in Karlstad.
Day 5: Karlstad - Lysekil - Gothemburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the West Coast of Sweden. On-route, pass through Fjällbacka to the village of Lysekil where you’ll visit a stunning wine-producing ranch and enjoy lunch. Arrival in Gothenburg in the afternoon. Enjoy a panoramic walking tour through the most emblematic areas of the city. Visit the renowned Kungsportsavenyn avenue, the Gothenburg City Hall, Nordstan, the largest shopping arcade in Scandinavia, and Kungsportsplatsen square. Admire the statue of Karl IX and see the exterior of the iconic Läppstiftet building, that resembles a lipstick. Finally, in the immediate vicinity we will find the Barken Viking Ship-Hotel and the Gothenburg Opera House where you will end the tour. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay in Gothenburg.
Day 6: Gothemburg - Kronborg Castle - Copenhagen
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, head to the South of the country. Travel via the port city of Helsingborg where you will board a ferry and cross over to the beautiful country of Denmark, towards the city of Elsinore (Helsingør). In the afternoon enjoy a self-guided visit to Kronborg Castle built in the 16th century and a World Heritage Site, and one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. The castle is immortalized as Elsinore in William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Arrive in Copenhagen in the late afternoon, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay in Copenhagen.
Day 7: Copenhagen
Breakfast at the hotel. To make the most of your last day, enjoy a panoramic tour of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Visit, among others, the emblematic City Hall, Christiansborg Palace, Amalienborg Palace (official residence of Queen Margaret), the impressive Gefion Fountain, the beautiful Nyhavn Canal dotted by typical houses with colored facades from the 17th century. Wonder along the picturesque Langelinie promenade where you will see little wooden boats docked and where you'll encounter the Little Mermaid statue, inspired by Christian Andersen’s tale. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure. Overnight stay in Copenhagen.
Day 8: Copenhagen - Canada
Breakfast at the hotel*. Sadly it's time to end your trip to the southern part of Scandinavia. At the indicated time, self-transfer** to the airport for your return flight back to Canada. Arrive in Canada and end your trip.
